Oh, and Mrs Earl just pointed me to this... It's a wee online application that allows you to create text messages be.tween historical or fictional characters.  Sure, you have to type both sides (or you could pretend to be one of the people, and hot seat the keyboard to a friend who could then pretend to be the other person and so on and so forth...), but it is a pretty cool way of, well, retelling (or indeed, re-writing) a story - historical or otherwise!
